I am thrilled to be among the first few executive resume writers worldwide to earn the pioneering new Certified Executive Resume Master (CERM) credential.
Created in 2014 by the professional association Career Directors International, the Certified Executive Resume Master is the first credential specifically designed to acknowledge excellence in executive resume writing.
Earning this designation sets apart job search and career practitioners who work exclusively with executive clientele. A gold standard, it is only awarded to the best-of-the-best global executive resume writers.
To apply and qualify for the CERM, applicants must already possess a recognized resume certification. They need to have written for the executive market for some time, having a body of work that demonstrates mastery of contemporary executive representation such as personal branding, positioning, and strategizing.
The CERM is a two-part credential that includes a portfolio of real-life executive resumes and a competency quiz that encompasses general knowledge of the executive market, plus a short sampling of writing “on the fly”. On-the-fly writing requires proof of ability to edit and construct compelling content that is concise and results-focused.
Portfolios and competency quizzes are reviewed and approved by a panel of top-echelon careers industry experts.
